How many miles have you rode your bike?

I've got 13600 miles on my '05 bike. I just realised that I have driven almost 7000 miles this summer. It's pretty good with weekend rides. I seldom go on any longer rides during weekdays and I don't go to work with it.

    Wow! I'm the first here?

Welcome aboard gals! Have safe miles. :wav:

How much safety gear do you wear?

I always wear full gear. That's probably the reason I don't do many "half a mile for a coffee" -rides. But it's worth it if I can still have my own original skin when I'm 80.

FZ6 as Girls first bike - what do you think?

Go for it! I think FZ6 is a great first bike for women. Especially if you're looking for something that will be useable for more than a year. I have mine as my first bike and at the moment I think that there isn't a better one in the market. Here are a few things to consider (not in any...

Try not to post too much!

715 posts!!! Thanks guys... It'll take me ages to go through them all. I spent five days on the road, 1406 miles. The next day I got back I left again with my friends to Hanko for a few days. I'll post some pics and stories soon when I get myself back on tracks on being home again (and get...

Try not to post too much!

I'm off, dudes! OK guys and gals, I'm outta here! I'm leaving for a week to drive around in Finland. I'll post some pics when I get back and perhaps write a story as well. Have safe miles and try not to post too much while I'm away.

    Rider down!

Wow, good to hear that you got away with seemingly small damages. But I do recommend that you visit a doctor. Take care.

    Today's Menu: Roadkill Squirrel

Oh, this definitely makes you a serial killer. LOL I agree Perryn, handlebar muffs would be so nice! And that raccoon Re-pete caught would have made an awesome seat-warmer. A true comfort-seat!

    Today's Menu: Roadkill Squirrel

I'm not very good at cooking squirrel, so I was mainly thinking accessories. And I didn't have anything to carry it home so I had to leave the poor bastard to birds. (Or perhaps the ants ate it first, there were a lot of them too.) If we were living in stone age, the skin would have been...

Side fairings to make fully faired FZ6

I like the lower fairing. And I have gotten used to what it looks like on my bike. I took the fairings off when I took the bike on the 20000 km service. Now I'll have to install them again but at least I can write a how-to story while at it. Here's a pic what it looks like:

    Today's Menu: Roadkill Squirrel

:p lol The squirrels must be so proud of their respectable duty. I still think the one I ran over would have made great earmuffs or leather string thongs.

    Finding relatives

This has nothing to do with bikes, but I'll ask anyway. If I'm trying to locate my relatives in England, where would be the best place to start? The last I've heard of them they were living in Fleet, Hampshire.

Ear plugs or no ear plugs that is the question?

My guess is that you're using too big earplugs. I also use those foam plugs (the smallest size) but I always cut them in half to make them fit better as my ear canals are very narrow. Have you tried silicone 'filler' plugs?
