    FZ6 Toolkit

To my knowledge there was a screw driver, spanner(for adjusting rear shock and steering head nuts), rear axle wrench, spark plug wrench, and some other stuff which I do not remember.

Outrageous prices for repair at local dealer?

First thought: Prices are outrageous. Like others said, read the manual, buy some tools, hire a babysitter. Second thought: The reason why shops charge so much is because the typical labor rate is $90/hour. Yes the mechanic barely gets any of that, but shops cost money to run and don't have...

Stebel horn back to OEM - help

Did you power the horn directly through the stock wiring? Or did you use a relay and wire it to the battery.

    2008 meter (speedo/tach) wireharness?

I've got a spare headlight/gauge harness for the 06. I believe the connectors are different but the wires are the same... not sure if that'd help

    Two Bros CF Exhaust Install

Re: Two Bros CF Exhaust Install *Finished Right* They look amazing, wish I had new ones! My aluminum ones are dirty and hazed, the endcaps are dirty and missing part of the teflon coating, and the endcap bolts are partially stripped. Oh and the glasspack has 20k miles on it.

    sidelight bulbs 600 s2 ??????

What I meant to say was, if you want to wire them up using running, turn signal, and ground wires AND have them operate like a 3 wire bulb, you would have to rig something up. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/2-wire-leds-3-wire-conversion-write-up-933239/ This sort of explains it (with pics)

Did my R6S fork mod and shinko raven tires

I'd like to know how the smaller front tire works over the long term. I've never been able to get on the outside 3/4" of the front tires, even with the rear tire fully leaned. But I look at any other sport bike and their front tires are worn to the edge! Also with the manual tensioner how...

accident case is going cold :(

In my accident, the police officer left and let the "community service officer" take over the report, she GAVE me the other drivers name and address. My insurance company said "Oh wow yeah she shouldn't have given you that". Oh well, good thing I'm not a vengeful person :)

    sidelight bulbs 600 s2 ??????

Oh yeah no doubt you can either run them as running OR turn signals, but BOTH requires some tinkering with resistors or relays. My method while not perfect, works. Though the lack of a ground/neutral is likely the cause of the alternating flash.

    sidelight bulbs 600 s2 ??????

I've got the podlights on my bike. R1 podlight sockets and little holes drilled into the back of the headlight. The US headlights have the spot for them, but the plastic just isn't drilled out, but there's a little nub as if they were meant to be. The problem with wiring them up is that...

accident case is going cold :(

The insurance company is definitely suing the other person for what they paid you. Do you have a police report? I don't see why your lawyer can't get that persons info from the police so you can go after them in court. Not that it means something will happen though.

    R1 rattling at idle? WTF

What year is it? I've heard the 09's having cam chain tensioner failures. To me it sounds like a SEVERE case of cam chain slap, as if you have no tensioner at all.

Need expert opinions - Time for valve adjustment?

After I replaced the broken stock CCT with the manual one, the idle screw works now. It still has decel/partial throttle roughness though.

    LED Turn Signals

I don't see why they would be any less safe. They're plenty bright, especially if you run them as running lights, and they can be seen from the sides. When I was hit, I just had one low beam and nothing else. Now I have dual low beams, super white/philips motovision orange, amber podlight...

Need expert opinions - Time for valve adjustment?

Today I got my APE manual cam chain tensioner, so I installed it. First, gasket from the old one broke in half, and the new one didn't come with a gasket! Then, after I removed the stock CCT, I heard a "pop", which was the chain guide slapping against the inside of the engine. Hope I didn't...

Need expert opinions - Time for valve adjustment?

Regular old seafoam. It comes in regular old liquid and aerosol spray. I sprayed it into the airbox(hole for air temp sensor). I'd say 80% of it came out and ran down the side of my bike so it didn't hydrolock. It used to run great, and the whole idle thing started when I installed a cat-delete...
