For sure doing the FZ1 bar swap. Though the paint on my bike is but a year old, I think I'm going to paint it again. The old man, who painted it, doesn't like the color LOL.

Thanks for the responses. I bought some fz1 gen II bars off the FZ1 forum. Hopefully I will get them sent to me...I haven't heard back from the guy since I paid him :(

A question for those of you out there with either the FZ1 bars or drag bars. If you put these on the fizz are you able to still use the steering lock? Cheers

Last time I rode in a downpour I ended up taking off my rain gear. I was sweating more than it was worth and ended up wet anyway. I'd rather be wet from fresh rain than my sweat.

^^This^^ for the back. As far as you sliding front to back I used to have the same problem as well. I found squeezing the tank fixes that. I also found if I was sliding around forward or back, that I probably wasn't doing something very smoothly.

I think it looks good as well. To me the pans conceal the worst looking part of the bike, the header area. They come to far off the bike for my liking.

I know this may be slightly off your direct topic, but do yourself a favor and read Twist of the Wrist II or get the DVD. It will likely help you to understand how to corner better.
