I'm using castrol radiocool (blue) which has lower silicate than green stuff. It's same as green (ethylene glycol) but also contains rust/oxidation preventer. It has not contains nitrite, amine and fosfate. My fz's cooling system is as good as first day.

I've sold k&n filter to another rider and bought an oem air filter. it's been 15.000 km's (~9000 miles) and yet it's clean. buy k&n if buying the oem air filter is trouble for you but otherwise I'm not recommending K&N. More air flow means bigger holes in filter media :)

for the rear brake, braided line is overkill except custom looking. For the front, brake feel is very fine. There is significantly differences between brands for quality. I bought HEL brand, it's like brand new but Venhill branded lines which is on my friends' bike has not got stainless banjos...
