Sports bike v old Rat bike!

That's all nothing but truth, tq does play a huge part but IMHO in that short of a race I'm still sticking with the ability to launch the bike. Most hardcore drag racers only care about 60ft times on vehicles that are similarly matched (although I'd say this is a far cry from anything similar)...

Best thing about selling a toy to a friend?

No I didn't wreck the fz I wrecked the dirtbike, I was just being a smartass about the $1000 as in if I wanna keep it its just going to cost more money

Best thing about selling a toy to a friend?

So what's the best part of selling a toy to a friend? You still get to play with it! They were having a little riding training session in a old abandoned grocery store parking lot, (if you've ever seen Zombieland its the same grocery store near the beginning of the movie) and I figured I'd swing...

Sports bike v old Rat bike!

I'm going to disagree with all of y'all lol IMHO the Harley won not because of tq but because of his ability to launch his bike much harder. With the bike being much longer he can launch pretty close to wide open and it wouldn't wheelie if he can get traction (the burnout) plus with that...

This bike gets one more chance before I sell it.

I had a 04 and it had the "choppiest" throttle of them all, but I found 2 solutions. 1st was never fully disengage the throttle and it will stay buttery smooth, and my favorite solution was always keep it WFO!

Juice box pro for Yamaha XJ6

Don't order the fz6 model, even if the connectors are the same noting else is. In order to get the best advise you might want to hop over on the fz6r forum. Not trying to run you off, just most people over here don't know much about the xj6 or fz6r other than they are slower :BLAA:

Do you keep anything in the underseat storage

Backpacks FTW! To answer the question of the chain, you might be able to get about 5' of a decent size chain in there but I wouldn't put something that heavy in there, over moving parts in a plastic box. Nothing would probably ever happen but knowing my luck, it would have broke the 1st time...

New to motorcycles; minimum service at 12K?

Personally, although having it checked out is a good idea it's not really necessary. As long as the bike has good oil in it it will run an run great. The only reason bearings could be bad at 12000 miles is if he frequently took the bike through water crossings, or pressure washed it. And as many...

    And it's gone...

Well my buddy showed up yesterday around noon with new fork seals and fork oil and we went to town. Rebuilding the forks was the easy part but in some of my "road rage" moments I might have used my speedometer as a punching bag. An with my "dash" setup being all aluminum it moved quite a bit so...

I'm sure y'all are tired of listening to me bitchin but I figure I give y'all one more broken part before I part ways with the old girl. The right fork seal... I went out I think Tuesday for "one last hoorah" and stopped by this local church that has a massive parking lot (same one ive been...

    I did 13krpm 1st time

You saying that kind of reminds me of the old trans am racing days, way before my time but don't mean I still don't love it. In particular the the Camaro Z28 DZ302, that car was built for one thing and one thing only, road racing (the trans am series) it was a dog below 4k even being a v8 but it...

    I did 13krpm 1st time

You talking about engine breaking is one of the main reasons why I keep the rpms so high when I'm going for "spirited" ride. It frees up just a little more stoping power (instead of using rear brakes) while keeping the rpms in the butter zone for blasting out of a corner. If I'm really going for...
