I don't think you'll have any problem doing the 1200 in 4-5 days. I did this route two years ago in a day. It was a long ride, but enjoyable on the fizz. My buddy on his vulcan did not enjoy the ride quite as much...why they would put a button in the middle of a seat I have no idea. Have fun!

I know you all have been getting pounded with the snow. At the moment I think I'd take the snow over the ice rink that is my street. The ice is about a quarter inch thick. Totally sucks, we're supposed to get more.

I have the Cortech sport saddlebags. I really like them. They attach really easily and have plenty of room for stuff. I'm sure there are some pictures of them on my fizz on here or OR...I'm too lazy to look at the moment.

The only time I was able to get anything on my FZ6 to drag was went it was skidding down the road next to me...the handlebar will drag, the mirror, the front and rear fairings, the oil cover, the pegs, the tank, part of the frame...in my recollection of repairing it the kickstand did drag but...

LOL I am then suffering from PMS. Projects are the way to go I believe. Got new tyres to mount, sprocket to install, brakes to replace and oil and filter to change. :thumbup: gotta find some way to occupy the winter months

My dad is very talented and he did it. My job, as usual, is sand, clean, sand, clean. I wouldn't say it would be a good idea for zero experience to try to do it. I would guess it would still be cheaper to have someone who knows how to fix it do it. No harm in getting a few estimates.

I wouldn't pull the dents from the tank. Bondo is your friend in this case. The metal on the tank is pretty thin and it is entirely possible to tear the metal when your pull the dent. Regards to the front end it can be repaired as well. I had similar damage on my bike. I didn't replace any...

Welcome! As for your questions your questions...I will give you an answer for #3. It is an under tail exhaust, they are all expensive. If you want loud just baffle the stock pipes. Seems like quite a few people on here have done that. Just search if for a how to thread. Again...
