    July 13th, 2013 - Hudson Ride 9/202/9W/Bear Mtn

Ok, here is the proposed route Preliminary version - any suggestions are welcome. Seems a bit short after the 6 hour rides in LI :D - i say we extend it afterwards? EDIT: we can also head up to Newburgh and visit Orange County Choppers for those who haven't seen the place. Just an idea

    July 13th, 2013 - Hudson Ride 9/202/9W/Bear Mtn

I'm still in. Haven't had a chance to plan out the route - maybe later this week or on Sunday.

Well, that's certainly one way to do it...

That makes sense. Dang, that's hardcore - triple-redundant GPS units. I was considering doing IBA, but (aside from the obvious physical torture), i wouldn't want to do THIS to my bike. I'm still considering doing one of the SaddleSore, but anything this hardcore isnt my cup of tea. A geek in me...

    return to WSBK?

Well, that's certainly one way to do it...

That's the reason for the extra fuel tank - it feeds the APU!

Well, that's certainly one way to do it...

Also, you can't quite see it, but I'm curious... where is his fuse panel?

Well, that's certainly one way to do it...

I don't see much FJR under this gadgetry... Honda got you all fooled - this is the new, sportier, less faired version of Goldwing in testing - they just put Yamaha logo on it to confuse you, and you bought it. :BLAA: no, but seriously... what's up with 3 GPS units?

    Track Day On Everyday Tires

Thanks for suggestions/advise, guys just the way the schedule is working out - I could do Aug in NY, but NY vs NH, i'd rather do NH - heard good things about Loudon.

    Track Day On Everyday Tires

Thanks, Lone - appreciate the information. This is my first track day, so I dont think I'll be pushing the limits much, still I'll keep your suggestion in mind. Yes, i see renting as last option, really - I want to take MY bike on the track, not a rental (not to say that I won't have fun...

    Track Day On Everyday Tires

A different question - so I'm heading to NHMS, and am wondering - I live in NYC and am considering riding up to NH the day before with a buddy of mine who will take his car. So i'm riding 300 miles the day before and then considering taking the same bike onto the track - do you think that's...

clicking sound from rear of bike????

Try lubing the chain - see what happens. No harm in over-lubing the chain (other than having to clean the rear wheel :) ) also, check the chain slack, which should be in your fz6R manual ;) Keep in mind, this is an FZ6 not FZ6R forum, and while you are welcome here, FZ6R Forum Community may...

    July 13th, 2013 - Hudson Ride 9/202/9W/Bear Mtn

Who's interested in some ridin' around Hudson river? I'm thinking about doing a ride up and down Hudson. Probably up the east side (9, 6/202), to Bear Mtn. Bridge, and then hit Bear Mountain on the west side. It would be nice to also hit Storm King, but that's a bit out of the way, so i'm not...

    My homemade Pelican luggage system

Like it! now you have surface for GoPro, K&N, and states/countries visited stickers! I'd definitely check the mounting periodically. I have a Givi setup now, and once one of my E21 sidecases decided to detach right as i was passing an intersection in NYC. The nice thing about the inertia is...

    I had a low-speed crash this weekend.

yikes. Sorry to hear that! I had a similar fall - ego and wallet hurt more than anything else. Mine is '04 and I had to replace the windshield, the fairing and the stay The windshield and the fairing cost me $175 USD shipped and the stay I bought through a part-out on this forum for $65 USD...

    FZ-09 compared to the FZ8

Sounds like a challenge for enthusiasts with tools.

    FZ-09 compared to the FZ8

Well, since they don't have a 100cc engine bike, i think FZ1 works - also makes it no 1 in the lineup, i guess. but that's all subjective, of course

    FZ-09 compared to the FZ8

FZ875 actually sounds nice. And I'm def. with you - I prefer fairing. I was considering going naked, but with longer rides, I decided to keep it (plus needed space for HID ballasts) The FZ09 definitely doesnt look like it will look well with side- and top cases.
