I use JVC marshmellow ear buds. They have the squishy ear plug material so they serve as earplugs too. They are small enough so that they do not fall out when I put my helmet on. I listen to music while I ride but keep the volume low. I can hear and feel the traffic just fine.
I just moved to no Cali where splitting (er lane sharing) is legal. I did it once when traffic was going about 5 mph on the freeway. I was only going about 15 mph, but it kind of freaked me out. I'm going to try to slowly learn how to do it (comfortably) because it is a skill that I would...
I have a BMW. It has an maintenance monitor (the dealer will call you when your car tells them that something is wrong). Anyway, the recommended oil change interval is...... about 13,000 or 1 year, which ever comes first. This is my second BMW. The first one had the same oil change interval...
I'm following the advice given so I'm now keeping it in first (at least until the car in back stops and watching my mirrors like a hawk.
This happened in Warrenville, IL....it is starting to be wild in the suburbs...

thanks guy. I like the camera idea....never thought of that. I'm thinking that he took off because he didn't have insurance.
When stopped at a long light (and this one was a long one) I usually put it in neutral and relax. I may have to re-think that strategy. If I was in first and if I...
4:30 pm, 80 degrees and sunny. On my way home from work. I was the first person stopped at a traffic light. There was another car stopped in the lane to my right. I had the bike in neutral and my hands off of the handle bars when BAM...I'm doing the rag doll thing. The bike goes forward a...
I use JVC marshmellow earbuds. They deform just like ear plug and have a low profile so that the helmet fits. I noticed that the new ones have a shorter cord. I have been using these (well not the same ones) for 3 years now.
I use synthetic (Ropella) and it is good for 10,000+ miles. My riding is mostly commuting (usually around 4-5000 rpms) with some highway sprinkled in. One of the advantages of syntethic is that it doesn't break-down after 3000-5000 miles like the regular stuff.
I don't have a Roadcrafter buy I know I guy that has one. Getting in and out of that thing is amazingly fast. It would be a little hot for me in the summer time. I have the Olympia Airglide which would be the 2 piece equivalent of the Stealth. It is not as protective as the Roadcrafter or...
I am an AMA member too. My local shop gives a discount (10% I think) for AMA members. In addition to the discounts, I have used the bond card feature a few times so the cops take the AMA card instead of my license when I was was pulled over for aledgedly speeding...
the stars are aligning for da Bears. They always play Green Bay tough. So, if they can get past the Packers, they match up well with either the Steelers or the Jets.
Go Bears!
