I've just bought a Givi s850 mount, optimate cigarette adaptor and usb plug so I can use my phone as a gps. I haven't had chance to use it yet but it looks good. You don't need gps over here but it helps to find out of the way places.

I have mine under the seat and through the grab rail, its a tight squeeze but the buckles will just fit through the holes towards to tank side of the seat. I can take some pictures if it helps.

I hate to disagree but I have farted while riding before and it has risen up through my gear so I could smell it. It wasn't pleasant!
