What they said with the cautionary note that if you want to play with the maps you DO have the power to run incredibly rich or dangerously lean and you CAN cause some serious engine damage if you lean it out too far, and that’s not just short term, it can cause an issue yearrrrs later from a...
Yep, I jumped as soon as I knew there was no saving anything, I just didn’t quite jump soon enough and caught my right shin on the handle bar and it bent everything in half from there. I was quite irritated when I learned she only got a warning. -_-
It was the leg, my arms were unscathed and I actually had zero road rash after I flew over the suv and landed. Thank goodness I had all my normal gear on and my Arai left me without even a headache. It definitely could have been worse. I really do miss my little blue 6
So I havent been around much as of late
On top of life sucking, a lot, my beautiful FZ6 was taken away from me.
A rather old woman turned across traffic into me and I bounced off the side of her little suv at 50.
I felt it as soon as I tried to stand up.
A plate, a rod, and 6 screws...
Initially I had thought vacuum leak as well, but it tripped me up that it's so inconsistent. On my way home today the idle never got above 1610 the whole ride. throttle feels like it always has, no binding and its lubed. I know I have to pull the tank and look everything over, I'm going to have...
Hey guys and gals, I've been away for a bit! ;):(
I've started having some serious issues with my baby lately, rampant overheating ( flushed once a year since I've owned it in 2010) the radiator has been cleaned and I verified it with my boroscope, cut the thermostat ( restricted opening but...
maybe my math sucks but how do you get 9-16 years Scott? the FZ6 started in 2004, 12 unless you know of some super secret prototypes I need to go find!!!
but +1 on everything else! you ALWAYS have solid advice and help out everyone.
I agree, I had an issue with my R6 calipers a while back, and I pulled each piston out and polished it thoroughly. It worked well for me that time, I had another issue and my air filter was dirty, to me I really didnt see it as that bad but I soaked it in zepp and oiled it and my mpg's shot up...
theres a difference between being out pulled and being out stupided by a cage.
That being said it does not take that much money to make a cage STUPID fast. I have built quite a few that will spank a liter bike. :D
I got TROLLED my a M3 and a blown TA with a chute on the highway,
and if you...
Re: Attn MOTOGIRO: Stratoliner ISC high-idle issue (ref via TownsendFJR1300)
Does the bike ECU use the TPS as a factor when varying the gound/signal to the ISC (Im used to it being a IAC lol, apologies if I slip up)
In some vehicles when the ecu detects a TPS above a certain % it will trigger...
that is amazing, I am utterly impressed. I have JUST put my third set of front brakes on, with a few times I have disassembled the calipers and cleaned, and the original rears. Though, I will be replacing my rotors soon, I am getting quite a pulse on initial braking. I have done my head...
kudos to you both! it is true that many cars can be reliable when the right people take care of them. I have seen quite a few turbo 5cyl volvo's that to kick as$
keep in mind that your guys take care of your cars...... I see the Schmucks that believe that it its not broke, dont fix it..
I find it entertaining you have the exact cars I was referring to, even the square body silverado lol. I bet you take care of them too! I see dozens of cars every day and base my reply on the terrible state of neglect most of them are in. I am glad you can break the stereotype, but you have too...
