    Scorpion Install Help

I haven't seen this stuff. I used a generic exhaust sealant on my bike when I was putting the scorpions on. Repeat sealing procedure till you cover all the leaks. This is what I did. Mine seem to be about 2-3mm away from the edge. I did not. How tall are you? I am 5'11" and the...

    newbi considering purchase

Frame sliders are kinda like pegs that you mount on either side of your bike to protect it at slower speeds, like parking lot falls and under 30 mph crashes, where you are more worried about the bike getting scratched up than you. They do not offer much protection at higher speeds though, but at...

Harry Potter Version 6, or whatever

I haven't seen the latest Harry Potter movie but I heard it did not follow the book as much. I have enjoyed the previous 5 maybe because I read the book first. Oh and Rome was a really good show. The production values were awesome. It's too bad that they had to cancel it. Check out The Wire...

    Gilles Tooling rearsets installed

Will do. I wrapped up the day when I saw clouds overhead. Maybe we'll have a bit of sunshine tomorrow and I can get pics after I am done with the install.

    Gilles Tooling rearsets installed

...well the job is only 50% complete. I started with the brake side but I just kept staring at the assembly figuring out a way to remove it from the foot pegs. The manual that came with the rearsets is absolutely horrible for help regarding this. I was kinda worried about unhooking one of the...

    Slight misfire

Also, the above response was assuming the fact that you started noticing the misfiring/backfiring after you installed the scorps. If you are due for spark plug replacement then worn spark plugs might also be the case for you. You can check for spark plug wear, there are tons of threads on the...

    Slight misfire

A bit of back firing generally is the case when you install the Scorps. Happened on mine as well, and to be honest, I love it. If you don't then yes resetting the ECU (engine control unit) is advisable. You just need to unplug the battery connectors for a few seconds and then reconnect...

    FZ6 Running Lights?

It is actually a DOT (?) law I think. Running lights in the front have to be either white or amber. Running lights in the rear have to be red. Flashers on the rear can be red or amber. As for the headlight, again required by law for motorcycles, the headlight or one of the bulbs has to be on...

Newspaper article over recent motorcycle fatalities in Vegas

Wearing a helmet is a no brainer regardless whether you have a wife or kids. It's still your life that you are trying to save. Yes, if the office pulls you over then he needs a probable cause to do so. If it is a checkpoint then it has been contested and proved in courts that the checkpoints...

    Throttle Sync/Engine Vibes

Here's a quick how-to done by none other than Fred and Hellgate YouTube - How to synchronize your throttle bodies. Also, the vibrations are present almost on everyone's bike at around 5000 rpm. The best way to deal with them is to quickly ride out of that buzzy range. -Manas.

    Thanks bd43!

+1 on the mod. Added visibility and you also don't get asked the same question over and over again, "Hey, is one of your headlight bulbs out?" Also, the harness looks OEM quality
