    FZ6 popularity

In response to Hobbesca: I just bought at FZ-09. I love it so much that I literally have dreams about riding it. Every time I ride it, I like it more. You can get one for $7200 before tax and tags. I can't think of any bike I would want more. Go get one!!

    Makeup

Makeup with a full face helmet? How does that not destroy your helmet. I don't currently own makeup. Does chapstick count? Hah. My husband prefers it that way so he can kiss me and not get covered in makeup. I have no patience for that stuff but have respect for those of you who are masters of it :)

    Riding pants

You can get Bohn armor to wear underneath your pants. The Bohn pants are tight legging like things that have knee, hip, shin, thigh and tail armor in them. I have worn them under the Kevlar jeans but they make it hard to wear the chaps on top because of the added width to your leg. The best...

New boot time need feedback please!

I just got a pair of TCX-RS-2 boots. Out of everything at the Philly Revzilla store, these seemed like the ones that could withstand a nuclear attack. They are on "clearance" for $330 but are solid and look like they will make it through anything and save your feet and ankles. They have multiple...

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Thanks for that breakdown. You have convinced me that I need to set up the suspension correctly! Yeah, all of the magazines show these 150 lb guys. I can't imagine that everyone who rides a sport bike is that light. I would think most guys are closer to 180-200 lbs, but you don't see normal...

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Thanks for the info. I don't know how comfortable I feel about messing with the bike myself. I have muscle cars that I work on so a bike shouldn't be much of a stress. In ny head, if I mess up something on the bike because I've messed with it, then I could be dead. The risk isn't as high with my...

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Good point. I should have checked that before leaving the dealer.

    Is this an appropriate bike?

It was nice getting a zero mile bike, so I can understand why they wouldn't allow test rides unless they had specific demo bikes. It's probably different for used bikes.

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Thanks, guys. I actually think the FZ-09 would be a decent enough beginners bike if you had enough control not to open it up. Any bike can get you a speeding ticket, might as well have something that has some power in reserve.

    Wanted: 2007 or later FZ6

I ended up buying an FZ-09. After dealing with way too many people who wanted more than retail for a used bike, I got frustrated and bought a new one. You can buy a new FZ-09 for $7150 plus tax. For the people wanting the 5k for the FZ6s, it makes absolutely no sense. Good luck with your sales...

    Is this an appropriate bike?

The FZ-09 is a great bike. I rode it today for the first time. It is HUGE. It towers over my Harley and over the Shadow. It looks like it wants to eat them. It also handles like a heavy bike when you are trying to move it around and when you are on hills. I was surprised at this since it's 414...

Low price on FZ-09 $7495 OTD

You can get one out the door for $7200 at Martinsburg Motorsports in WV, do prep or freight. You have tax and title for the state you live in though.

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Yeah, they don't let you ride any of the sport bikes, at least the new ones. I haven't asked about the used ones.

Do you wave at Harley riders?

I'm a current Harley rider. I would hope that you guys would wave to Harley riders :) The people who don't wave back when I am on any of my cruiser bikes are the sport bike guys. They don't wave back normally! -Jen

    New member welcome thread..

Oh boy... For those not familiar with Sportsters, I think the bike is amazing. The bike is solid and is a "real" bike compared to my shadow. It's just not for me.

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Thanks for the advice. The reason I'm looking on the sport bike end is really the weight. I love how the S40 is 400 lbs, I can actually move it without any trouble. As a result, I'm looking for a better bike that's in that weight range. I'm totally not into wheelies, etc. I just like the ride...

    Is this an appropriate bike?

Hello. I'm trying to decide which bike to get as my first sport bike. I am 5'5" 120 lbs with a 31 1/2 inseam. I currently ride a Harley Sportster XL1200L that feels as nimble as a tractor. I bought a Suzuki S40 which is much lighter but has no power. I also have a Honda Shadow Spirit in the...

    What do you look like?

Just joined. This is who I am. We go to bluegrass festivals all summer, so that explains the banjo picture and my license plate. The car in the other pic is my '78 Trans Am, just like Smokey and the Bandit. It's set up as a 1/4 mile car.
