I was sent the email below this week and whilst not wanting to start a debate about the rights and wrongs of our current military deployments around the world it is a fact that young men and women are doing their duty and laying down their lives in the name of our country. I don't know if the...
I voted, "Sometimes" but not based on whether the scooter looks cool (is that possible?). It depends how it's being ridden, if it's the usual all over the road, numpty style riding that's typical round here they get ignored at best but if they're riding sensibly then I'll nod like I would to any...
I'm guessing as she was stationary at the time she wasn't doing anything stupid. I've spent enough time sat next to her to know she's a pretty good driver anyway... and given I ride a bike she's pretty 'bike aware' for someone who's never been on one!
I had my 600 mile service done back in September (having bought the bike new in June), the dealer charged me £33 (for the parts). I think it's Yamaha policy not to charge labour for this service so it sounds like someone might be trying to rip you off!
In terms of any requirement to have the...
My wife has taken my car on a business trip today and just phoned me to let me know that some guy on a bike just took my wing mirror off with his shoulder as he road past her in stationary traffic on the motorway.
He must have known he hit it, so would it really have it hurt him too much to...
I watched it on iPlayer yesterday. Thought it was a very good program, for once showing a balanced view of bikers in the eyes of the police. Nice pair of bikes he got to ride for a living too. The pheasant thing kind of makes you wonder how you'd deal with something like that and whether your...

I don't think using a scanned image of the key would work in a lot of cases anyway. Doesn't the FZ6 S2 have a chip in the key to disable the immobiliser? I know an awful lot of cars do, not sure about other variants of the FZ6. Just having a key that fits and turns the lock won't necessarily...
Glad I bought my (silver) Fazer last summer, I could live with the blue but the orange just doesn't work. Much prefer the black frame to the 'new' silver one though.
I tend to cruise with the traffic in 6th and read the road the ahead so that I can drop to a lower cog if I see something ahead that may need a swifter response from the throttle (all the way down to 3rd for a nippy overtake).
I fitted a Powerbronze full fairing (Viper) on my old cb500. It was easy to fit and did a pretty good job. It looked OK too.
Can't say anyting about it on an FZ6 though but they seem to make good quality stuff.

I bought a brand new 08 S2 Fazer in June after test riding the 06 model. I can't say that I can really feel any difference in the mid-range between the two (probably because both are so much better than the 14yr old CB500 I traded in!!). I went for the brand new one because the build looks nicer...
