That's exactly correct. You have to pick one. I'm -1 on the front and set my SpeedoDRD to -11.1%. Speedo is close to correct, but now my odometer reads low. I'm wondering how many people are calculating their gas mileage using the low reading odometer, and thinking they're getting worse than...
I'm not. It's really high pitched. Like when a tube tv is on, but there is no sound from the speakers. It's just like MotoGiro stated. Most people can't even hear it.
Mine has the same high pitched electrical whine. I can hear the pitch change with my blinkers going off and on. Very annoying, but only heard at a stop.
So sorry to hear about your accident. I'm in Modesto, so I know hwy132 very well. It's almost all fast sweepers, so having an accident and coming out relatively ok is outstanding. It could have been so much worse. I am curious about the gear you both were wearing. I saw the pics, but I'm...
I used motor oil in mine and I didn't use restrictors. Just the straight 3/16 connectors. It worked just fine. My tubing was really long, just in case, but it didn't rise anywhere near the top of my board. Another tip: I used white peg board, it makes it easy to put zip ties through.
I was at the pet store(Petco) today getting cat food and thought I'd see if they had any connectors. They had about 10 pkgs of the black "F" connectors for $1.19 each, but no restrictors or "+" 4 way connectors. It is really not that hard to find here in the states. I, too, would recommend doing...
That came out awesome. It looks almost identical to the one I made. For those of you having trouble finding the connectors, try pet stores. I found all of mine at a pet store in the aquarium supplies section. Instead of 2 "F" connectors, I used a 4 way "+" shaped one.
Right idea, but you've got it backwards. You divide the rear by the front to get the ratio.
Example
46/16=2.875
So, going to 46/15=3.0625 is pretty much the same as 49/16=3.066
Go up 3 teeth in the back is equal to 1 down up front.
