Hubby did this on mine and it works like a charm. No problems with the stand. I'm 5'6" and its more than flat foot now.

To offer some hope for resale on the white with black and pink...this colour scheme is not offered in Canada as far as I know...so you may be able to find a chick up there who would love it...
