Yeah I was thinking that may be the route I need to take. I am going to give it another week or so then I will part it out if I do not sell it as a whole. Not really in that much of a hurry to sell.
Nope the spacer is there, it came with 2 different sizes. I used the smaller ones. I use the short oil filter and have never had a problem. I don't know how the long ones would work.
 Agreed, it makes the ride so comfortable.
Thanks:rockon:
There is a coupler behind the header pipes. I had to dremmel both sides of the belly pan and modify the mounting hardware to fit with the crash frame.
I attached highway pegs to the crash frame, makes long distance trips a lot more comfortable.
Maybe the side racks, saddlebags and top case. I really do not want to have to take off the top rack, it is pain in the rear. It is bolted under the plastics to the inside of the frame.
Give me a couple days, I would like to sell it all together.
I modified this bike for a 7,000 mile road trip around this country and Canada. I bought the bike from the first owner when it had a little over 2,000 miles. The bike has around 16,650 now. All upgrades were installed either by myself or Motorcycles Unlimited. (Best shop around in my opinion)...
Hey everyone, Texan here:rockon: I live in College Station and Houston.
I just returned from a 7,000 mile ride around our country and Canada. Always up for a ride if anyone needs a riding partner:D
Just received the belly pan! Super fast shipping and it looks better then expected! I touched up the scrape with some touch up paint and it looks great, you can barely notice it at all.
Thanks for a great transaction! Great deal, great shipping and great contact through out the sale.
Cagers, I am more worried and alert to cars then any other a hazard.
However deer would be a close second. I hit a deer on my old ZX9-r and was hurt pretty bad. Broke a leg, tore my bursa in my knee, had some road rash from where my jacket shifted, completely buggered up my hand and finger (...
Lol it wasn't all the same time, probably over a 5 year period. The snake actually knocked the wind out of me a little. The guy in front and I pulled over right after. He was like," Dude, did you see the snake I hit?" then he looked at my gore splattered jacket and just started laughing lol...
Thanks! I think I will pack them this time (gotta try out the GIVI e52 case lol) but it is nice to know I can get them at many places along the way.
I am so stoked about this ride. I was trying out the throttlemiester bar ends/cruise lock last night and they work brilliantly.
I need to...
^^Thanks for the advice!
I have decided to only carry the oil filters and pick up oil along the way. I have always ran run Motul in my bikes, should I go synthetic? I thought there were some issues with full synthetic and Yamaha's wet clutch.
You weren't kidding about the filters either...
Lol :D
Ouch on the rock hitting your knee. I have been hit with a snake that was thrown up from the biker in front of me, 2 birds and a squirrel that a minivan kicked up at me. Never a rock though, that would hurt. Mine were mostly squishy and bloody.:(
The snake hit me in the chest on...
Thats insane! On my Zx9 I would get about 2500 to 3000 miles out of a pilot power rear tire.
My Sv650 I could get about 5000 commuting miles out of a rear pilopt power.
I am about to throw on some Bridgestone BT021 for the upcoming trip. I am hoping to only go thru 2 sets of tires on this...
