That's the thing though, Cali doesn't allow people to carry concealed. Why wouldn't you want to open carry in front of your kids? Don't wish to set them a good example? If you haven't noticed, that is how kids learn, by example and by watching their parents. Teaching kids they should be...
So where can you take your kids? If you haven't noticed, criminals aren't afraid to break laws to hurt you and your family. "Gun free zones" are just places where criminals know for sure their victims will be unarmed. Think someone who is bound and determined to kill someone cares about...
Great job. Very similar to the way i hooked mine up, although i didn't even think of mounting it down there. Wish i would have thought of that, it looks like a good idea.
Throttlemeister heavy bar ends help a bit with the vibrations, but more importantly allow you to remove your throttle hand on those long stretches. Also, i noticed a slight reduction in vibes when i installed the bar risers.
Never owned one but the negatives i hear about them is always the same: too messy and too complex. From what i've read, they are designed to keep the chain wet with oil, the oil flings off and takes the dirt and such with it. Have it keeping the chain too oily and your wheel gets coated along...
If someone wants to buy the bike without the racks, i will let you know. They are a real PITA to install though, so i really don't want to take it apart to pull them off.
2007 FZ6, bought last year with 800 miles bone stock
Info:
~9200 miles, never wrecked, clean title in hand. Very clean bike
Maint:
-All oil changes done by me (800mi, 4900mi, 8700mi) with motorcycle oil and a new filter.
-Brake fluid (F&R) flushed over the winter
-Coolant flushed over...
Got a quote from an Ohlins guy, he says a YA 906 fits a FZ6 (07+), but the Ohlins website says it's for a FZ1. I like the 906 because it has a remote preload adjuster whereas the ones designated for the FZ6 don't. Anyone have an Ohlins rear shock that has the remote preload adjuster and remote...
Don't worry about it. The only real problem that non-motorcycle oil filters pose is on bikes with roller bearing bottom ends because they require so little oil pressure, they can't trigger the oil bypass if needed. FZ6s don't have a roller bottom end and run pretty similar oil pressures to...
It's been ~3900 miles since the FZ6's last oil change and i have a busy next few weeks planned. I also have a Honda oil change kit (3 qts Honda 10w40 MC oil, 1 Honda MC oil filter, 1 oil filter cap wrench) that i got off of craigslist a few months ago for a dirt cheap $10.
This is also a...
LOL. If it's running, it's warm enough to ride. I try to stay under 7k or so until 150F, but that isn't always guaranteed. Never had a problem between 9F and 100F.
Very nice. Is it a 1050? I don't remember if they had that motor out in '06 or not. I've heard those speed triples are great little bikes, very flickable, lots of fun. Looks good with the chopped tail, hope you don't plan to ride in the rain though...
