Goals are simple. A bit of extra umph in the lower RPMS, not a wheelie machine (not yet at least :D. I do not ride on the highway and rarely go over 80 mph. Thankfully this bike gets out of first around 55mph, but even then I find myself climbing up those RPMs to get that power on the street...
I've noticed when cruising at a constant speed with the throttle staying in one position in the lower gears, mainly 1-3, the RPMs like to fluctuate a bit. Not enough to cause any noticeable jolt/chugging feeling, but I can definitely hear it. Is this normal on our bikes? Seems like other inlines...
Due to some of the threads re charging voltages at lower RPM's, I made the below video to clarify.
History on the bike;
(1) BD43, dual headlight mod, PIAA high performance bulbs
(2) Battery is approx 3.5 years old, (ridden 365), and due for replacement.
(3) Idle is intentionally...
When you guys are riding non-aggressively and simply cruising along, what RPM's do you keep your FZ6 at?
I got my '07 FZ6 about a week ago and find myself cruising around the 5K range.
I'm curious as to what other members keep their RPM range at?
