Hi all.
Im on holidays in Port Douglas FNQ (Far North Queensland)(Australia) Went for a ride up on the Atherton table lands with a mate who owns a 89 CBR 1000 with a trade in value of $800 (in excellent condition) an a new BMW GS R1200 ( Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman style) ($25,000). 450 Ks later a couple of stints on each bike and down the "Gillies" supposed to be rated the no1 ride in australia.
I'm here to state the obvious it doesnt matter what you ride, biking has be be rated up there with the great experiences of life. A great day out lunch at the top and a couple of coffee stops and one frothy beverage to celebrate surving the down hill run on the Gillies.
Would be great to have had the fizzer though.
Anybody comming up do yourself a favour hire, borrow and go for it.
