OMG, just realised there is another female rider in Melbourne 
Got my (blue) FZ6 in Jan, and I too find it a bit on the tall side (and rather top heavy when geared up for camping but that's another story......) Just wish I could ride it more often, but I have to transport kids in the mornings. You did the right thing with the Buell rider. If I ever have an off I hope someone like you is around. Safe riding
