  • I really have no idea what you did either! lol I just got a message that you gave me some of your experience, or something like that. ??? I don't really follow those things. I tried to give someone "rep" once, and couldn't figure it out so I gave up. :(
Thanks again for the help with the jacket Beth, I tried to give you rep but I don't actually know what I did. I Sent something, I think I sent you my use of the rep system instead of rep. If you wanna send it back I'll try again or you can just keep it and try to use it for someone.
Awww. Poor guys. I remember those faces when my stepdaughter's team lost the state volleyball meet last season. Have a good time at the presentation night!
Birthday was great thanks. The other day I needed to be away was because of my son's end of season football carnival, they lost in the semi finals. We had 24 really sad little faces walk of the field.Tonight we got their presentation night so that will cheer them up.
I rode with Stryken on some very small roads, then across a river on a ferry. He had a GPS on his bike and it was a great help.
So how was your birthday/time off?
No worries about the rep,was feelling generous ,lol.
Got a mount coming for the GPS then I can try it out on the bike .
Brenda, here is my contact info. [email protected] work 314-362-2406, cell 314-780-2600, hm 618-281-3343. I hope that you are around when my sister and I are in CO. It would be great to meet you. Thanks again for the info on Estes Park and the Nat'l forest. sounds nice.
I would love to meet you, too! We don't really have any definite plans, but wanted to do some scenic/touristy stuff while we were that far west of home. We are leaving home Wed. night, will drive part way (through Nebraska) then stop for the night and finish our drive Thursday, with maybe some sight seeing in NE or WY that day. I am not sure what is around to see up there, other than corn!! :)
We both have to be back at work on Tuesday, so we will probably spend Sat. and Sunday in CO. I'm not sure if Cathy wants to make the drive home all in one day or break it up (14 hours), but we will probably do it all on Monday. I think we could hit Estes Park on Sat., after we leave Cheyenne. What is your schedule like?
hey Beth, you should definetly go thru Rocky Mtn. Nat. Park in Estes Park ,CO. And Maroon Bells in Aspen is always a good photo op! How long will you be in Co? Because I could drive up there....would love to meet ya!
My coworkers are a bit mixed...one lost a loved one to a motorcycle accident, so I think that is on their minds. Others are proud of my accomplishment. I won't ride on days that have rain chances, so not much opportunity to ride lately. Of course the weather guessers are not reliable.
I am glad you have so many more track days planned! So what will it take for you to get your racer's license? I might do the Aug. 15th "test the track" event, but am not sure yet. My skill level may still be too low to do it in Aug. October might be a better option for me.
HEY Elizabeth! Good to hear youve been riding to work! What have your cooworkers said about it? Track days are aug 15th at gateway. august 29th at blackhawk in wouth beloit, sep 5th at putnam in mt. meridian indiana september 26 back in joliet at autobahn north and october 11 at gateway. the last one im going to see if i can get my racers license.
Cool stuff! Do you use MOVATS and H&E stains? I've been looking at histology slides a lot lately from animal studies we have been doing, and am familiar with those two stains. MOVATS highlights the overall architecture, and H&E highlights the nuclei of cells; we look for tissue necrosis or lack thereof. It's pretty fun, but I'm only involved in the very last step - the evaluation. I haven't even seen anyone fix, slice, stain, put cover slips on, etc. It would be cool to be involved in those steps some day.
Yeah, we like to keep things on topic for the most part. It helps with organization of threads, but sometimes they get derailed. Notice how once we stopped talking on that thread, it died... Anyway, I work for a small startup in private industry. I've developed several biomaterials over the years - polymer and ceramic bone cements, gels, adhesives... It's fun stuff. How about you? Western blots? For genetic testing?
Yeah, I am hoping he will like it. He wants to go to some remote area so he can learn to shift on my bike first, so he doesn't make a fool of himself. (uh-oh) I told him I wasn't thrilled with that idea, but that I could show him how to shift, etc. Then I told him about the idiot that put his helmet on backwards, so he certainly wouldn't be THAT foolish!
I think it's great that your wife rides, too. I am hoping it will be a hobby that Jeff and I can share. That would be nice.
We are planning to take lots of pics, hopefully with the Arch in the background. Should be fun! We were going to go to the Arch, but with the All Star game in town, decided it would be total chaos downtown.
That is how I got my wife to ride, by having her take the course. I took it with her as encouragement and glad I did because she was ready to quit on the final day. I eased her and got her though it. Whew! Maybe he will get lucky like we did and there will be a cancellation that will allow him to go sooner! :D Hope he likes it!!!

Take lots of pics on the hand-off.
