Hello everyone, I have at home some lithium grease but the manual specifies that I need molybdenum disulphide grease to replace the valve shim. Do I really need to buy a new pot of grease or can I use the lithium one? thanks.

Thanks. the T mark and the I and E mark would not align when the T marks was aligned with the frame mark. no matter what I did. So at the end I had to remove the camshafts and position them to align with the T mark. now I've mounted everything back again but I will have to continue another day...

but i think there is tension at the moment, probably not the perfect one. It is because the the CCT won't go forward or backward unless you turn the screw inside. When i mounted it back, I screw it to get as much tension as I could and now I believe it stays there in place.

I've bought a new CCT today (not easy to find in the uk!!) , it should arrive in the next few weeks. I will need the bike to go to work (short distance). Hopefully will solve the problem. To check the valves ( i wouldn't mind doing it myself) I would need a garage but here in London i don't have...

thanks, I've already had a look through the Haynes manual. Mine doesn't come out at all. stays in place if you screw it in and in place if you screw it out. looks like the spring may be broken.
