I use a Kaoko. It's nice, though doesn't come with new ends for both sides like the Throttlemeister. It gives a good sense of when it's activated and easy to grip since the ridges stick up.
I agree with the Oxfords. I have a set on the rear of my bike and they are very bright. I would also recommend the AdMore LED Lightbar. It can be a pain to find a good mounting spot on a FZ6, but I just got rid of the reflector on the back and maybe drilled a few holes.
Awesome video for Driver's Ed. I grew up in WA and took Driver's Ed there, but I don't remember ever talking about motorcycles at the time (2004/5). I'm glad to see them taking measures to inform new drivers about motorcyclists.
Yeah, that cover was a pain to get off and even worse to get back on. I managed though and it was pretty gunked up in there. Putting it back on I had one of those wires that just didn't want to come out from behind the cover, but I encouraged it to go where it needed to go.
Cleaned it all up and lubed it. Doesn't make the sound anymore. The chain seemed fine, rolled off well, and the up and down play was fine.
After lubing it and riding it for about 10 minutes, I got to my destination and saw a bit of smoke coming up from under the seat. Took a look, but didn't...
I got a Panasonic HX-A100 a while back, but only after I got it did I find out that you have to have an Iphone or Android smart phone to use it and I have neither.... :/ If anyone is interested, I have it for sale.
Just had the bolt for my cable guide fall out. For those curious, it's part 97017-06016-00 but I haven't found the actual size. Will probably call the dealer near here and then check the local hardware store like I did when I had to get new bolts for my gas tank.
I recently got this '05 FZ6 used from a guy up here. Has about 9K miles on it so it's not doing too bad. I noticed a strange ticking when running along between 2K and 3K RPM. Of course I can only hear it in lower gears/Speeds, especially 2nd. I checked today while riding and even with the clutch...
