So this is what the mirror looks like after a sanding with 320 grit wet and dry (my hardware shop didn't have 400). I found this video on YouTube and am going to try the repair described here: I got a bottle of this stuff so when the plastic is properly dry I will give it a bash:

I have had these on mine for almost 14 years and they have lasted well, never been repacked, good sound without being anti-social, get them while you can!

I have that same topbox, it looks a bit more in proportion on my Tracer than it did on the Fazer :rockon:

I don't think I've ever taken mine over 9k on the street, I've seen top end twice and both times it was on a dyno. I bought an MT-09 Tracer a few months ago and the grunt is great compared to the 600. I'm 56, I don't know where that puts me in the age rankings :)

The blue is the BEST!! Pictures don't do it justice, it is a stunning colour and thankfully it doesn't have gold forks. I gave my blue Tracer a good blast today and I'm loving it :rockon:

It weighs 9.2kg (just over 20lb) and the Akro weighs 4.2kg so it's quite a difference. It sounds great, at idle it is civil and quiet but when you wind it up it develops a rasping roar that is really sexy!
