Skills or no skills they already know the law, and I'm sure have seen all the same videos, and they are still ignorant enough to do this which leads me to believe signage would be meaningless toward them. They know where the tracks are, but still choose public roads.

Possibly premature fuel ignition? It only happening when your motor is hot also points to this. What octane fuel are you using over there? Make sure your sparks aren't misfiring and maybe try an octane booster. Higher octane is more resistant to premature ignition. You also mentioned...
