Sorry, I just go to read this tread. Looking at your upper pic, I can see right away that your tire is flipped. The open part of the spoke should face backwards. Your is facing forward. It won't matter on FZ6R but it matters on FZ6.

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is the "Spencer seat mod" for a stock seat?

I have the Yamaha "comfort" seat and after 1.5 hours it get's uncomfortable. After 2 hours the cheekbones starting to hurt, in half an hour it feels like on fire... Not good for LD

That's because most bike aren't being used as much as cars. So older bikes will have about 20k miles. Basically bikes can do cars mileage, nevertheless bigger displacement means bigger mileage. Tourers can do 200k and more. My previous bike FZ6R had 52k when I sold it and had no issues at all...

Yes, the road is narrow. Some challenging sharp right switchbacks on way up, especially on a loaded bike with a passenger.

No, the tunnels are not that wide but are 2 lanes. You never know who's entering it on the other side, just keep to your right and you'll be fine.

No, it is an older Yamaha (can't remember the model). I took this pic on Mallorca (Spain). It was in some grocery store on display among other vintage bikes.

We started from Swiss Alps. Rode the famous Tremola road to Gotthard pass, then Furka, Grimsel, Susten are awesome passes. But weather was on a colder & rainy side up there. Nevertheless the nature is hands down absolutely stunning. In Italy it was warmer so even the Gavia wasn't that cold...

Agree. It is an excellent bike. However to make it suitable for long distance rides it has to be "complete" with ABS, better passenger sit, screen... Otherwise it just stay a "local rides" bike and you'll need a different one for LD. To me FZ6 does it all. FJR is not for me as it' heavy, big...
