Yeah, no need to worry. Make sure you're turning from 7-1 and not 1-7, and give it that quick tug. The higher up the preload that you get, the tighter and harder it is to do, especially if you're two wheels down. Just keep trying.

Just bought my girl a 550D with the twin lens kit, a handful of extra filters and a sun-hood. She loves it, which is great for me, as I'll get her old pentax K series.

Definitely drag bars and quality bar end mirrors. They lower and widen the bike. Very mean looking.
