    Fenda Extenda installed

I just installed mine as well. I used pvc glue and also Ran a bead of rtv along the inside lip to keep crud from building up inside that lip. I haven't installed it on the bike yet, as its been rather cold here as of late. I bought mine on Revzilla for $27

    Gutting The Exhaust

What size pipes did you use? And I would be interested in seeing the pics. I plan on starting to cut mine up today if I have time.

    Gutting The Exhaust

That makes sense. I haven't started tearing it apart yet. It looks like the factory tips are 1.25", so I think I might just cut the welds off and see if I can use the bracket as a guide for the hole saw.

    Gutting The Exhaust

I am more wanting a better tone then just volume. My plan is to put 1.25 pipes in. Forgive me for my ignorance, but what does drill holes in the first couple inches of pipe do for sound? There is a YouTube video of a guy who replaced the pipes on his. I don't know what size he used but it...

    Gutting The Exhaust

Sorry to resurrect this from the dead. How much louder is it going with the bigger pipes? I want my bike to have a good sound, I just don't want it deafeningly loud.

    Adjusting idle speed

My bike idles at roughly 750 rpm. Per the service manual it should be around 1300. I want to increase it, but it says the throttle bodies should be synced beforehand. While I plan on doing it in the future, I haven't made the gauge set to do it yet. So the question is, can I bump up the idle...

    Owners and service manual PDF?

Where can I get a PDF of these manuals? In the past I downloaded them from bonemanfz6, but I guess the website went away after the first of the year. Thanks

Stock forks with springs and emulators, or R6 forks?

So I have been looking at r6 forks on fleabay. Does it take much to fit the later year USD forks to the fz? I figure the r6 triple is needed, which means a different route is needed for bars. Sorry if this has been beat to death already, just wanting to make sure I have everything in line before...

    Movember 2014?

I always do. I usually quit shaving around mid September and shave again in march or April, depending on when it starts warming up

Easiest way to "drill" stock exhaust.

This is what I did to mine. I didn't have a stake, so I used a long punch. I had to go around in a circular path knocking holes in the baffle, but the end result was the same. Made a little difference, but not enough for me. I think I may do a little surgery on the muffler.

Stock forks with springs and emulators, or R6 forks?

I guess I should clarify, when asking about stainless lines I was asking if a set made for an fz6 would work fine if I switched to r6 forks. I don't know why they wouldn't, but I want to make sure beforehand.

Stock forks with springs and emulators, or R6 forks?

So I have been doing more research on this, and i have a couple questions? What years of forks can I? I am assuming any of the earlier years that don't have inverted forks. Secondly, i am also wanting to put stainless lines on, will they need to be different with the different forks? Dako81...

Stock forks with springs and emulators, or R6 forks?

My project for the winter is going to be to improve the suspension on the bike. Of the two choices in the title, which is the best. It seems the price for each is pretty close, and the R6 forks are adjustable, right? And it seems the R6 forks don't take a whole lot to make fit.

    New guy from Iowa

I live about an hour SE of Des Moines. And yes, I've been squeezing as much riding in as I can. Took a hundred mile ride last weekend, hoping to do the same this.

    What is your helmet color?

AGV grid with "stigma" graphics. The graphic wasn't really my first choice, but it was on closeout. And it looks a lot better in person. It is fairly noisy, but bearable with ear plugs. Because of the neckrollWhen I put it on, it folds my ears over, so I have to jiggle it a bit, but after that...

Noob with questions on gp shift

So after owning my fz6 for a week I have decided I want to convert it to go shift. Also, I am thinking relocating the rearsets would be nice. So I ask, what is the best (hopefully fairly cheap) way to accomplish these? I read about relocating the stock sets, but can't seem to find the parts. Thanks

    New guy from Iowa

Hello all, just bought an 07 fz6 and joined your community. I have one quick question. The rearsets (especially the shifter side) seem to have a bit more play than they should. I plan on switching rearsets in the future, but for now are replacement rubber bushings available? First order of...
