I've been using the same ring with Go Cruise for 3 years (20k miles). Mind you I don't use it constantly, but I'm very happy with how it held up. It's super simple.. no bolts. Just have to be careful when installing / removing it. Some people complained about breaking it. I'm still on original one.

I've ridden s1000rr (not exactly the same, but same platform) and I've ridden gsxs750 and gsxr1000 (again, not the same, but gave me an idea). If you're coming from FZ6, both bike will feel like absolute rockets to you.. they're very very fast. For me, the choice would be simple: Zukie hands...

I've got FZ1 and R6.. both shift better than FZ6, but to be honest.. most Suzukis I've ridden shift smoother (all GSXRs, Busa, etc). I just don't find it to be a real issue. Move up to FZ1.. you won't need to shift as much :D (jk)

When I say fueling is off, I am talking about EFI (electronic fuel injection). When you go from closed throttle to gently rolling on, the bike jerks .. it's nearly impossible to roll on smoothly at certain RPM. Not a huge issue.. it's about the same as FZ6. My FZ1 is much smoother though...
