Awesome! :thumbup: Great little cars. I get 35-38 mpg commuting on backroads to work. Really easy cars to maintain and repair. I paid $1,500 for my 2000 with 220K miles but great body and interior. 20K miles later still running like a 5 year old car.

If it's something I can remove easily I'll get it the next time I'm over there. You need the RIGHT side, correct? If you remove yours let me know how to get it out. I'm sure the tail lights have to be removed first.

My beater car is a 2000 Civic LX. Same car. Is that piece separate from the rest of the rear fender? I never noticed a separate piece there. can you tell if it's plastic or sheet metal? My father has a 99 LX Civic he's partying out as it was involved in a front end collision. I'm sure...

Other things to watch out for: TPS (throttle position sensor). There was a recall on them in 2004. See if the previous owner has record of it being fixed. Steering head bearings. Probably not an issue because it's dry in CA but at that mileage I would place the bike on center stand...

Today I disassembled the front forks and preparation to swap seals and oil to 10wt. No better time in the northern hemisphere to do this kind of tear down work than January-February!

A tire rated at 210 KpH can sustain that speed for a lenght of time. The tire won't explode if you hit say, 230 kph once or twice for a few seconds. I wouldn't worry about it if you plan to ride under 200 kph at all times.

Have you got a quote to ship from USPS via Standard (Parcel) Post? I ship headlights to people several times a year and I can ship a box that is roughly 24" x 20" x 15" and 11 lbs for about $30 as long as it's going 1,000 miles or less (roughly). Would be more to ship across the country.

Depends on your average riding speeds in cold weather. If you have to take the freeway forget that with no wind protection! In the city it doesn't make as much difference. I have a cruiser with detachable windscreen and it's much colder when I take it off!
