Watsen Design LED flush signals for 08+

Delivery took longer than expected, but Watsen's had a legitimate excuse (kinda) as they were moving shop. When the package arrived, it was well packed. Bought from them directly here: http://www.watsendesign.com/Yamaha_Products/FZ1/FZ1.htm I ordered the LED signal for FZ1/08+ FZ6 and the...

    MX Boots on the FZ6...

I considered full boots when I was shopping for a pair earlier this season, but ended up with this: Wear shorts on your bike! - | Motorcycle Boots | Motorcycle Clothing Reviews | MCN When I tried on various types, I find the full boots to be very restrictive for movement, and hard to wear...

    Highway speed wind buffeting

Oh, and I very much dislike the stock tires. Going to replace them early next season even though I'm only at around 6k miles.

    Highway speed wind buffeting

I have the Puig racing screen, which is still taller than the stock one, and double bouble design. Works well if you lean down at higher speeds. Personally I don't tour so I didn't get the touring screens. I've contemplated a naked setup but the spring/fall weather is quite chilly up here...

    Was that you? Ontario Accident.

A week ago on the DVP I saw another (blue) Fz6 rider in a tussle with an angry old woman out of a (totaled) Smart car too... If I were optimistic I woulda thought he was checking to see if she was alright, but chances are they were in an accident where she completely lost control and spun out...

For those that did the FZ1 bars

I just installed the FZ1 bar, no riser needed, just adjust the angle with the bar on lock position and it'll clear the tank. Best $50 I've spent ever.

For those that did the FZ1 bars

I think it's around $40 in the US. Cost me $46 in Canada.

    Handlebar install Q's

Thanks everyone for the help! The mod is indeed easy, including a stop at the hardware store to get titanium drill bits and prep/adjustment it was done within a couple of hours. I guess I've always had this taboo feeling that I could inadvertently disconnect something and come to a gruesome...

    Handlebar install Q's

Thanks for the tips guys. Going to try it this week sometime, probably going to try and salvage the stock grips for now.

    Handlebar install Q's

Finally got my hands on a FZ1 bar, thinking of taking the plunge to install it myself next week. As I'm not the mechanically proficient type, I have some stupid questions: 1. Seeing how there's glue on the stock clutch-side grip when removing the grip, do I need to glue it back on the FZ1...

    Officialy An FZ6 Rider

Welcome to the club. The seat and the riding posture are two main complaints that everyone has about the FZ6. I upgraded to a TS seat and it's been great, I'm finally sitting in the proper spot on the seat. Ordered a FZ1 bar and will be doing that later this season, and an adjustable...

I think I found the PERFECT frame sliders

Longer may not necessarily be better, as they are more prone to snap. I had a lowside on Motovations and it's amazing how the entire bike balanced on the slider when it went down, just ended up bending it, but saving the rest of the bike.

Actual difference between cutting stock screen and aftermarket screen

I had the same problem with the stock screen, and with the cheapo HJC helmet I had before it really bothered me. Going to a Puig race screen + upgrading to an Arai helmet that fit better solved the problem. Now when I go above 80mph I can feel some wind on my helmet but duck a little and the...

    Aftermarket handlebars.....

Thanks for the heads-up. Anyone know if the same issue happens to 08+ FZ6? I've also been tempted to convert to streetfighter, and may do so if the FZ1 bar doesn't fit well.

    Aftermarket handlebars.....

Does anyone have the Yamaha part no for the FZ1 bar? I treaded through Yamaha parts sites and can never find the part for the bar itself. In Canada it's harder to find FZ1 parts, apparently.

    FZ1 handlebar

Getting sick of the stock bar, not a lot of choices for aftermarket ones in Canada. Anyone in/near Canada with a FZ1 bar you don't want, and willing to ship to Toronto?

    Another DAMAGED TS Seat

To my pleasant surprise, a UPS delivery arrived today with a fully reinforced and properly packaged TS seat replacement! This is before UPS even contacted me to collect the damaged seat. Opened up nervously to find a seat in perfect condition, and properly packaged. Installed it and w00t...

    Another DAMAGED TS Seat

UPDATE: TS took it up with UPS and UPS will now pick up the seat as it is considered damaged during shipping; I guess they made a damage claim to UPS. Initially they asked me to ship back the seat, which would've cost $130CDN for postal mail and $300+ for UPS or FedEx! TS did agree in...

    Anyone on the GTAM board?

I'm there too, but I find there to be lots of immature people and drama. I tend to leave serious topics for here, and only check GTAM when I'm bored and for the "For Sale" sections.

True... Could've been customs, come to think of it. Punching into it to see if there's stuff inside. DAMN...
