I believe this can be true of some of the cheap models, however I constantly get compliments regarding the visibility of these lights even in the daytime. Most folks are very surprised and impressed. I friend of mine has similar ones on his SV 650S and it is much less visible in daylight, this...
No soldering required. The connectors they provide simply match up with the stock ones. Instructions are also provided to show which wires go where. Only issue really was removing the stock taillight, it was tough to actually get out of the housing, but nothing serious.
I've had mine installed for a few weeks. Seen many police officers and had no issues. Great piece of gear and higly recommended. Looks really good since you remove the turn signals and the taillights are very easily visible in daylight.
This light is DOT approved. I'm not sure about the one you are referring to on Ebay, but it may not be DOT approved. Could be missing some of the reflective materials for brightness in daylight.
So, I'm looking for a change of...seatery. (You see what I did there?)
I found this on Corbin's site for the FZ1 and really like how the pilot + smuggler looks. I won't have anyone else on with me as I'm very new to the bike, so the storage space would be fantastic.

I've been trying to decide what sort of comms to use while on my motorcycle. I came across these throat mics and figure that if they work well I will go ahead and get one. Anyone here got any experience with them?

I know of those Sena helmet mics with speakers, but I'm not...
Haha, that's awesome, and terrible. I think I'll just stick with the tail light sans stalk lights and see how it looks. Might be good enough like that, if not I'll add some independent turn signals later.
Actually, I think I'm going to get some aftermarket turn signals. No clue which ones yet, but I would like some LED ones that are smaller. I suppose I also need a new flasher relay for those to work properly?
I found this Fender Eliminator on Amazon, but it says its only good for 2006-07. Anyone know how much work it would be to make this fit a 2005? If it's just to drill a couple of new holes I could manage it myself.

I am also looking at getting one of these, but I would like to just completely remove the other rear turn signals. Anyone know if this would be street legal in Texas to just have that tail light as your rear turn signals?
Dennis Cluett from Newfoundland, Canada but currently working in Houston, TX. Just bought my first motorcycle 2 days ago and have yet to even ride it on the roads. Still waiting on my gear to arrive!!!
Saw this Blue 2005 FZ6 on Craigslist with only 8900 miles and 1 owner. In awesome shape...
Hello FZ6-Forumers,
Just bought my first motorcycle 2 days ago, Blue 2005 FZ6 w/ 8900 miles and 1 previous owner. Found this forum right away and have done quite a bit of reading.
From what I can tell frame sliders are one of the first mods or added equipment I should be looking at. I...
