Why is some people Getting rid of their FZ6?

I didn't pick any of the possible answers. The only reason mine is up for sale is because I've been offered one of two bikes I've wanted since I first saw them and I know the owner so I know their history. I never even thought about another bike until these two became available. If mine...

    front forks

Last year towards the end of the riding season I started getting a clunking in the front end when I would hit bumps. A couple of weeks ago it got to the point that the bike didn't want to track very well and when I would take a turn it felt like the front tire wanted to dive under the bike. I...

    Any IS-16 experience?

I wear earplugs when I ride so no I didn't notice any whistling, or at least I don't recall it being an issue.

    Any IS-16 experience?

I had one for a few months before I laid my bike down last year. The internal sun shade was great, especially since I work twelve hour days and don't like carrying an extra shield back and forth to work with me. It did not fit my head exactly right but if it wasn't for hitting my head when I...

    headlight placement/aiming

I wired the headlights so that both are on at the same time. With the Buell setup the normal way has one light on for low beam and both on for high beam. But they are the same bulbs on both side so I wired them to both be on all the time.

    headlight placement/aiming

I didn't go measure but what I found in the Buell service manual for the headlight I used said at 25' have the top of your beams 29-31" from the ground. Hope this helps.

Electrical problem with Buell headlight setup

The new headlight does not have its own fuse. Is the FZ6 headlight fused? I did not change anything with the stock wiring other than removing the wiring plug so I should not have affected any fuses if the bikes headlights are fused.

Electrical problem with Buell headlight setup

I do not a have a high beam. Both bulbs are 12v 55w H7 bulbs. The insulation right at the edge of the exposed wire looks like it melted. I can see a couple of inches of wire from the bulb to were I started taping things up and the rest looks fine. I haven't removed any electrical tape to...

Electrical problem with Buell headlight setup

The Buell headlights have two single filament bulbs (2 connections on the back). The whole headlight assembly uses a common ground. Each light has a ground but there was only one ground wire at the plug so I only used one ground wire from the bike wiring. I wired up the right side using the...

Electrical problem with Buell headlight setup

Last week I finished up my Streetfighter conversion with the Buell headlights. Sunday I took it for a 3 hour trip and when I got home noticed that the right side headlight was out. Today I was looking into what had caused the light to go out and found that the ground side of the connector that...
