I have noticed a buzzing sound around 6k. Turns out to be the clutch lever. Just a finger on it and it goes away. Once I realized it was harmless and RPM specific, I haven't been bothered/concerned/annoyed by it anymore. Perhaps that's similar to what you have going on. Here's hoping anyway.
I regularly do head turns for the blindspots, and I agree that the FZ6 stock mirrors are quite functional, but with a helmet on, I can not see directly behind me - especially with the ol' lady on back. Moving from one side of the lane to the other helps some. I don't want to get popped for an...

You're selling the Yamaha comfort seat? I'm curious as to why, as I'd gotten the impression you liked it. If you don't mind me asking...
Is it not comfortable over the long haul? A drag to hang off of? Wanna get a cowl? Need cash? Gonna get a Corbin?
Wow, 200 new members since the end of August! Welcome kooltools!
Freakin' amazing, really. I mean, Yamaha FZ6 is a relatively narrow subject of interest (or so I thought).
Fully stocked here.
In Washington state, no insurance is required for a motorcycle at all!
Still, I bought it (full coverage) so I could ride in Oregon without getting impounded, as well as to protect my investment.
Never a knee. Scraped pegs a couple of times on my Kawi back in the olden days (California Hwy 1). Not on the FZ6 though. Practicing hanging off recently, so it may be awhile before anything scrapes.
DefyInertia, love your pics!
Well, it sounds quite promising. Will start doing it myself next time out.
Thanks for the advices! Sometimes it takes a village to ride a motorcycle. :wav: :D
Ok, makes sense. Thanks for the answer. I will start voting for right-trackers:thumbup: and against butt-heads:eek:.
On a slightly different but similar note, why is it there is an option to give mikenbern or saddletramp an infraction, but not you (or I, of course)?
Is this good/wise/healthy for the FZ6?
I was just reading this article on Sport Rider Sport Bike Clutchless Upshifting - Riding Skills Series - Sport Rider Magazine, which says its the best way "UNLESS, of course, your bike has some shifting/transmission issues that prevent using this...
Looks pretty cool, but it seems to me that one of the major points of a cover is to keep a potential thief guessing at what is underneath. Also, a cover should be locked on with a cable around to keep the potential thief from chancing a peek.
...just my 2¢
I and my wife have the EXO 700. We really like them a lot.
The shields are the same as the 400, I believe. So far I haven't had a fog-up riding in cold morning or evening weather. My sunglasses, however, fog in seconds under the same conditions. On one early morning ride, it did get very blurry...
