anyne have any data on the life expectancy of the electric fuel pump for '05 45k

was just wondering what kinda added "ball park" milage I might get before fuel pump willl need replacing

That's not really a part that has a life expectancy, or shelf life. As long as your able to somewhat keep good clean fuel in the tank and not run the fuel down to where the pump will suck air it could outlast everything on the bike. But it all depends on what exactly goes through the pump, and sometimes they just go for no reason. It could last you another 100k or it might go tomorrow.

Running the gas tank super low will also make the pump run hotter than a fuller tank, the fuel helps keep it cool.

The hotter you run an electric pump, you'll shorten its life....

+1 on the above as well. Taken care of, not overheated, its a very stout pump..
