Awesome keyring garage door opener

You all may know about this already, but I just got the
GENIE COMPACT 1-BUTTON REMOTE CONTROL
part # GICT390-1BL at Lowe's home stores. It may be found at other places as well.
It comes with a keyring, docking station, and clip, for various attaching methods.
It took me about 30 seconds to program it, and it works great!
It was $35. A little rain today did not harm it. If you are expecting a downpour, just slip a sandwich baggie over it.

Just passing it on. I bought 2, one for me and one for my GF's bike's keys.

Yup, I have one too (second one actually, see below). Only problem is that they don't really make a universal one, so you have to match the fob with your garage door opener. Provided you can find one, they are a great addition.

I can also testify to the water resistant-ness. I have ridden in the rain several times with no problem. But it is not 100% - I literally took a swim once with my keys in my pocket and the fob did not survive LOL.

Bought one yesterday at Lowe's as well, at first i was looking at this Skylinkhome.com - Motorcycle Garage Door Remote Control Model MT-18, but went with the Genie instead (both are relativley the same price) , piece of cake to setup (takes less than 30 secs) , i will probably velcro it somewhere, it's a little bulkier than i expected . Overall great product :thumbup:

I wouldn't mind one of these ...looks like there is a mini version. The model number looks like GIFT390-1.

Wonder if you can get 'em in Canada?
