Display failure on 2004 Fazor

The LCD display on my bike has gone completely blank! No speedo or fuel gauge. The bike still runs OK and a few on/offs with the reset key has not cured it. Anyone got any ideas to fix it. I am concerned that the immoboliser may come in at any time and strand me.

Is it only the display or the indicator lamps on the left are dead also? You might want to check the cables for damage, clean the contacts and re-connect them, otherwise it probably is the LCD, which needs replacing.

Problem is, mileage seems to be stored in the instrument cluster, so you can't just throw in a salvaged spare and retain your original mileage and doing so would probably be illegal in most countries. In that case I'd buy a spare and bring them both to someone who knows his way around with soldering to swap the displays only.

I am checking the wires as best I can and the indicators do work.
