You won't regret it.
when I first got myself moto boots, there was no comparison to regular boots. You get more stability and control of your bike. I don't know how to explain it. Just make sure that the boots fit you.

ok i went with a Joe Rocket 2 piece that zips together at the waist. its made of textile. i got it for $100 {best offer from ebay} so that's awesome. Here it is.
im no expert but it seems a quality suit. Hope i never have to test it. has anyone worn one like this if so how well did it work for ya?
next will be boots and gloves. im know racer its going to be a long time before im using my knee sliders so i wounder should i go all out on the boots. all i really need is good hard boots that fit good and wont let me break my ankles right? i mean there r alot of nice good looking boots out there and u get what u pay for but im not sure what i need. any suggestions?

Only been riding since'07 when I got my bike, I have a decent choice of leather, mesh and somewhere in between and even some some winter riding. Recently got myself kevlar jeans from compacc.com and its great for summer riding. Its heavy than most work denim, even more so with the added kevlar.
But breathable and you can walk in anywhere without looking like you just came from the track. Priced reasonably well for protection. Of course you can also get a full pledge Kevlar top & bottom but it'll cost you.
They also sell Kevlar cargo pants, which is next on my list. As for jacket, I have Revi't mesh with waterfroff lining. Of course lining comes off and gets put back on when it rains. Then I've that i can always just throw over a motorcycle jacket rain "poncho". Works best and you don't have to remove myjacket to reinstall the liner and get wet while doing so.

As far as boots you either have an alpine star foot for a sidi foot, try some on, I personally love the Sidi boots, but they fit a certain type of foot. If you can, get to a dealer and try some out.
Can't help much with gloves, I've used first gear light leather gloves since I started riding, no complaints though.
