Exhaust/air filter Question

After installing new exhaust I want to upgrade the air filter too, will I notice any difference in power or performance and will I need to add a PC3 after all is said and done.....

any thoughts would be appreciated :rockon:

Several thoughts.

Adding in a K&N airfilter might give you a few extra HP, but probably not noticable.

Adding both a K&N and aftermarket exhaust I would reccomened getting a PCIII as you will be running even leaner than jsut with adding only the pipes.

If you just have aftermarket pipes (no K&N), then you can probably get away with no PCIII. I run Two Brothers cans for over a year now without a PCIII. If I were to upgrade my air filter, then I would want to look at adding in a PCIII.

If you can afford it, a PC is probably the best way to go to get the most performance out of your bike, especially if you do a dyno tune at the same time.

Search around as there are many threads about "PCIII or no PCIII".
