Exhaust Saddlebags

Hello, I have a 2008 FZ6 and was curious if the Firstgear Silverstone straps on the saddlebags will burn from the exhaust?

If it's a stock exhaust with the plastic vanity cover on it, throw over soft luggage is fine. Where are your straps going?

Thanks for the reply, the brand is Firstgear Silverstone saddlebags and Im not positive but looks like the strap wraps under the rear fender so seems like it will be across the bottom of the exhaust pipes. I do have the factory exhaust with a fender eliminator kit. Or the more I think about it that would be an awful design. Im guessing the strap would go under the seat where there is a small heat shield.

Mine are throw over, with a strap to each pillion peg, one going under the (stock) number plate mount. Never had any melting or clearance issues. As long as there's enough of the fender eliminator there to stop the strap touching the hot metal, it should be fine.
