Free riding track?

I've just moved to DC area. Is there a place (race track etc) where I can ride and speed freely away from traffic around here?

Im from the area. The only place I remember was in Southern MD near Prince Fredrick… And I don't think its free.

Oh, and BE CAREFUL in the back roads in MD, cops are everywhere but much worse: the wildlife literally comes from nowhere!

Summit Point (In WV) is not too far away and there are frequent trackdays organized by some trackday companies. Although this is not near free.

Welcome to the area man -- I'm in Arlington too. A group that is up here is doing a group ride this Saturday (definitely not a track day) -- I haven't gone with them yet but was thinking about checking it out.

Let me know if you'd be interested in riding together sometime! I live in the southwest corner of Arlington, about a mile from the East Falls Church metro.
