Hi, I'm looking to buy a fz6 luggage rack, the one that bolts to the grab rails. My question is whether when the box is fitted, is it close enough for the pillion to lean back on?

My girlfriend really likes to come riding but after an hour or so is really uncomfy and would be great to have a top box to rest against. I've looked at these online but look like there is a bit of a gap between the end of the seat and the box.

Advise welcome.

Another option would be to replace your seat with a Corbin. You can add a backrest to those. I sold my Corbin, but I still have a backrest if you are interested !!

No idea on which box matches the rack, I had mine fitted when I bought the bike and never thought if other boxes fit it or not.
The plate looks changeable so it might be box specific.

I got a 45 litres Shad topcase and the rack at Yamaha dealer. $169 for the case and 120 for the rack. Not a bad deal. No backrest needed. Passenger can lean on the box.
