Has anybody ever used this stuff????

God I love physics..... Great answer. Another factor is the pull conditions which do not stress the bond. Had the pull vehicle snap-pulled the lead the stress on the joint may have shown its shortcomings.
 
Maybe the semi had a rolling start. I'd like to buy some, but I am such a cheap skate.

What would you be using it for? I use Super glue for small stuff and a two part epoxy for stuff that needs greater strength. Both are pretty cheap.

nothing in particular, just wanted to experiment. I don't like super glue, there's alot of things it doesn't work on.
 
I've seen the commercial on TV so it must be true! I really doubt that it can do 350 or 80k pounds, however, if it can do 20 or 30 pounds, it would still be a pretty good product.

I would say it could no doubt do a dead pull of 80,000 pounds under the right circumstances. However, overcoming the rolling resistance of a rig weighing 80K is even easier.

what you don't see on the commercial is them just putting silly putty around one of the links on the chain.
 
Ahh Billy Mays! I won't buy the stuff because he annoys me even more the the guy who sells the computer training disks!
 
I just hope and pray that one day Billy Mayes mistakes his super putty for super bubble chewing gum.

It looks to be like quicksteel. Quicksteel's been out for YEARS. Or JB Weld.

This crap is trying to fill a niche that doesn't need filling.
 
I use this stuff whenever possible, its great for holding or sealing stuff together! whats really cool about it is you can sand and paint the stuff when your all done.
