Well, every year, i make a "pilgrimage" to Phillip Island for the World Superbikes, and this year was no different. I always take heaps of pic's, cause i just love "bike porn", and there is always heaps at Phillip Island when the big international meetings are on...so i thought i would share this years collection....tissues not included!

Check out bike 19....that Katana puts out over 180hp at the rear wheel, is the fastest Katana in the World, especially with Multiple Aussie Superbike Champ, Shawn Giles at the helm!

Also, the black Irving Vincent....a full house Superbike, made completely in Australia! with Phil Irving's blessing.

That thing is a weapon for sure.

I saw Shaun racing it at the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed last month.

There are a few of them going around but THAT bike is the bees knees. Just ask Robbie Phillis.

Katana's are the weapon of choice at the moment with Giles, Martin, Phillis & Pace all riding them.
Funnily enough I think I have pics of all the same bikes.... only taken 2 months later. With the exception of the XR69 that ejected Brookesy & then committed suicide.

Max Biaggi is my guy, 40 year old out there with kids. I've watched a couple of the races on TV this year, have some more on the DVR. Haven't watched any MotoGP yet, I guess Qatar was their first race a week ago. Not sure if it's on the DVR... I love racing! Isle of Man is cool too.

Yes, Robbie Phillis has been whining like crazy bout Shaun Giles bike, and before that, he has been whining about the Irving Vincent....

Robbie is playing catch up! He has had things pretty much his own way in that class for a fair while!

He is one f******* fast 50+ year old man though! As Shaun Giles will be too when he gets to that age.

When you think about the Historic Superbikes have some insanely talented riders piloting them, Beau Beaton on that Vincent is a pleasure to watch, and the sound of that bike is amazing!!!

This video gets real interesting at around 1 minute, when he really gives it a bit of throttle....

You cant see it in the video, but everytime he revs it, the bike surges forward! That's a f******* beast!

Great shots Wolfman!!! The races KICK BUTT!!!! I'm fairly close to The Mid-Ohio Sports Car course in Lexington, Ohio so I get up there every chance I get to watch the AMA guys as well as the Vintage Motorcycle Days weekend. Awesome Time!!!

But hey, this thread is about SBK, and I gotta say, the racing has been INCREDIBLE this year!!! Has anyone had a chance to watch this past weekend's races at Donington Park in England? WOW!!!! Simply Awesome racing this year!
