Marine with Base Plate

While we are popping off fire works and eating burgers and dogs remember the ones who allow you to do that in peace.

Here's a telling photo of the effort our Marines and Soldiers are currently putting in in the 'Stan today. I'd guess he's got 100 to 120 lbs on his back in 100 degree heat. That round thing on his back is a base plate for a motar, probably an 88mm, not sure what the Gyrianes carry. Hooah!

Thank God I was never an 11C. Good Lord!
