Motorcycle storage thread

Hi guys.

I am thinking about getting some where to store my beauty!! A couple of mates have had theirs nicked recently (straight out of the garage) so I was looking to get a dedicated motorcycle store. I have seen these guys recently in Ride magazine, they make a dedicated motorcycle garage. Has anybody got one???? They sell for £999.99.

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter

I got one of these from Asgard Metal Sheds, Metal Bike Sheds, School Storage specialists back in Februry, there are brilliant! I can’t fault the service, it was delivered on time (and it was even free delivery!!) The installation guys were great, seems really well made and its got a great locking sytem, and I managed to get a discount off my insurance. It’s huge! I’ve got my bike and the lawn mower in too :D

Cheers

Now this is a great idea! I really like it a lot. I've always thought about a small shed just for my bike that was more secure. Nice find.

I like this idea a lot, but I live at an appartment and cannot have this luxury. I barely have space to squeeze the bike and my car in one parking lot...

Re: Motorcycle Storage (update)

1st .. sorry for posting in the wrong place.. I am new you know :(

Well I took delivery on Friday mornig at 9.03. (27 mins early). 1st impressions.... jeeess it is heavy and ******* big. The two delivery guys had a wry smile as they struggled up the drive way with the panels .. I chose not to opt for the assembly option (I'm tight!) and had intended to build it myself. How hard can it be I'm young (ish) and fit??? errrr unless you have four arms and the strength of 2 it can't be done by one man alone .... early bath on that one...

Sat morning with a mate in hand things looked a little better.. Even though it was 10000 degrees outside it took us less than an hour to get it up (including 10 mins going and printing off a 2nd set of instructions off as we built the unit on top of the 1st set :banghead:DOH! and then a further 15 mins going around and double checking the screws were tight and bolting it to the floor .. p.s. there are around 4 million screws in this thing - so supple wrists needed . Top effort though looks good in Brown next to my old stone house, got the bike, leathers, boxes and my MTB in easy (even rode in). One thing the delivery guys said was if I lost all the 3 keys for it - it's £15 A KEY for new ones or they have to cut the door off to get in because all the locks and fixtures are inside to help prevent theft. I'll post a picture later in the week when it's cool enough to go outside - and my sunburn has faded a bit.

Pete
