Queensland Ride Day

Where ? Team Moto Yamaha samford Rd Enoggera
When ? Sat 1st Nov 2008
Time ? Meeting 0800 hrs Departing at 0830 hrs
Going ? Travelling west over Mt Glorious for some photo ops :thumbup: then down into Esk for morning tea at the Bakery , after smoko we'll head up the back Rd into Highfields for a lil looksie around before heading north to Crows Nest for lunch at the Grand Hotel....:thumbup: Travelling back home via Spring Bluff for more photo's and ending the ride on the Warrego Hwy at Dinmore....
How long ? Approx 320km or about 6 hrs with plenty of rest periods

Would love to come for a ride, but the missus gets out of hospital on Friday.........so I've no chance of getting out there with you. Was supposed to be doing a ride this weekend around Somerset and out to Kingaroy with a couple of mates, but have also put that one on hold.

They're keen as for some solid rides though. So hopefully I can get some free time over the next couple of weeks to go for a ride with you. One of them might be a while in getting out there as he is getting his jaw reconstructed after a jet-ski incident up North.

Only problem is that I'm still very green at the moment....only been riding since August this year.

We have at least 3 more Group rides scheduled for the rest of this year...what's left of it, and i am sure there will be more spur of the moment rides inserted into the mix before the year is out!

Looks like you better start checking out jobs & houses in SA....unless of course, more Queensland Fizzers can get off their butt's and ride!]

It is very cool riding with a group of bikes the same as yours, as you get to find out little tips, check out each others mod's, bikes have same spec's so are evenly matched, oh and you get to gossip about stuff that happens in this forum!

It certainly would...that would be hardcore "Iron Butt" stuff, i think it's about 2500km's by road from Adelaide to Brisbane!

Glad to see you have a few bites for your ride....started with just three of us here, going for ride's...

I have not been over Mt Glorious since the old bike, but will be going on this trip on my new FZ6 S2
i need to get some KM's on this bike as it only has 199km's so far

My bro-in-law has confirmed he is a starter for the ride this weekend :thumbup: , allbeit on a 250 Ninja :spank: but he loves it and i guess they aint the ugliest thing on the road......... So far it looks like there will be 5 coming :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Dont worry Jules... i dectect our numbers will grow again soon.....even if not all FZ6's.....have been telling a few hardcore bike nuts about our rides...and they want in!!!!!
