Hi guys,

I want to remove my hugger/chainguard, mainly to give it, and what's underneath it, a good clean, but also to see what the bike looks like without it. Thing is, how easy is it to remove/replace? The subject doesn't seem to be covered by the FZ6 Haynes manual, and, what with me being about as practical as a goldfish, I don't like the idea of faffing around with it blindly and messing it up (my bike's still under warranty). I have done a search here on the subject, but am not coming up with much. So I was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Remove the four bolts and the plastic rivet.
Shift the rear brake line aside
Cover the “hugger” with a cloth to minimize scratching
Maneuver the “hugger” out from under the bike
Clean & return

Plastic rivet can easily be removed by pushing the center locking pin through the rivet with a small punch.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell, here's what an FZ6 looks like without a rear huger, and with an FE!
