This is this coming Saturday:

Biaggi To Sign Autographs May 22 At Dainese's D-Store In Costa Mesa, California

May 12, 2010 - press release issued by Dainese:

Max Biaggi at the Dainese D-Store Orange County, May 22

The D-Store Orange County is excited to host an afternoon with Aprilia Alitalia race pilot Max Biaggi. The World Superbike and former MotoGP star will be sharing his thoughts about the 2010 WSBK Championship and answering questions from the audience, with an autograph session to follow. Max has worn Dainese gear throughout his long career and has helped with many advances in racing safety..

At round five in Monza, Italy, Biaggi and his Aprilia RSV4 set a new top speed record and won both legs, putting him only three points out of first place in the WSBK championship. He already has four world 250GP titles to his credit, as well as 13 wins in 500GP/MotoGP. Born in Rome, Italy, he now resides in Monaco and the U.S.

Beginning at 10:00 am, you'll be able to demo several Aprilia motorcycle and scooters, courtesy of Aprilia USA. Max Biaggi's interview and autograph session begins at 12 noon, with complimentary Max Biaggi posters for everyone.

The D-Store Orange County is Dainese's flagship showroom in Southern California. One of only two D-Stores in the U.S., inside you'll find Dainese's full collection of riding gear, as well as legendary AGV helmets, as worn by the world's top racing champions.

Realizing that I never posted my pics for this event, 5 months hence here they are:

Woot. I was never a Biaggi fan for sure, but I have to say he was very friendly and personable. He smoked the WSB field this year, for sure. The V-twin power somehow made that bike SO FAST. That and Biaggi is very small.

I've heard that the RSV is a "production" bike in name only, particularly last year. Lots of custom welding and all. ;)

Aprillia has some sweet bikes. My friend Jim recently bought a Tuono - VERY NICE bike - I test rode one at this event.

Thanks for the pics!

Being a Rossi fanatic, I don't like Biaggi but, I have to say, he seems happy in World Superbikes. It's a different world to MotoGP. Much friendlier :)

Good on him
