Ok, I just purchased one of these, (thanks Mexi!), calibrated speed to GPS and found it has the unfortunate effect of also modifying the odometer calibration.

So, if my speedo is correct, my odometer is 7% out, and vice versa.

My question is whether the other units available (SpeedoHealer, SpeedoDRD etc) also modify the odometer calibration?

Is the relationship fixed?

I've just turned it back to 3% (roughly) to get the best of both worlds, but if there is a different unit that adjusts the speedo independently to the odometer, I'd like to know about it.

Cheers,
Rick

Pretty sure my "speedo healer" (brand name) also adjusted the odometer when I had it. Not aware of an alternative that fixes just the speedometer.

My speedo healer does both too,I believe speed and odo are sourced from the same signal so it is not possible to adjust them independently.
Also,on the healer V4 ,if you press the high speed recall button it will advance your odo by 1/10th per press.

Just received an email reply from HealTech, makers of the SpeedoHealer, in response to the question of whether the speedo can be calibrated independently to the odometer. (just checking if their product utilised a different method of modifying the speedo calibration, compared to the SpeedoTuner I have)

The email confirms the same signal is used for the speedo, odometer and tripmeter, so the answer is no.

Cheers,
Rick
